Some folk have liked these in various places, so I&#8217;m queuing them up.  Some are older than others.  But new or old I hope they help.  For this one&#8230; the past is never quite what we remember, yet in it rests what made us who we are.  And the joy of the past can sustain us into the future even if it seems fanciful or fleeting.  Often those fleeting fragile things are made of sterner stuff than ever we could imagine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Well Spun Memory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I drink to the past that lives only in dreams,<br>And a world that is never quite what it seems.<br>Beggars on high prance worse than kings,<br>But the future is spun from fanciful things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raise a glass to the past,<br>Raise a glass to the sky.<br>Such times never last.<br>Raise your glasses up high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Glory has faded, and hope seems so dim,<br>Yet, laughter still rises even when things are grim.<br>A spark here of hope, a glimmer of faith,<br>And a moment of glory shines on our face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raise a glass to the past,<br>Raise a glass to the sky.<br>Such times never last.<br>Raise your glasses up high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The darkness grows blacker.
