When the world grows dark and ugly
\nAnd hope seems all forsworn
\nDo not fear the battle
\nHope can be reborn.<\/p>\n

The sneering voices chatter
\nAnd run fair Beauty down,
\nBut their gabble cannot shatter
\nHer shinning golden crown.<\/p>\n

Her truth in every heartbeat
\nShe lurks in dawn and day
\nAnd no bitter witch can kill her
\nJust, for a time, lock her away.<\/p>\n

When lying wizards wheedle
\nAnd wicked kings declaim
\nBold princes thread the needle
\nAnd still speak out her name.<\/p>\n

The maidens still remember
\nEach man still memory keeps
\nOf the Beauty none can shatter:
\nBeauty only sleeps.<\/p>\n
