As often happens, a friend said something that stuck in my mind and turned into this. I hope it lifts your spirits.<\/em><\/p>\n

We are meeting on the other side of midnight
\nThough the dawn\u2019s still far away
\nWe are looking for the future bright,
\nFor naught can stop the day.<\/p>\n

We are turning to our labors
\nThis battle now is won
\nWe are finding what God favors.
\nThe work has just begun.<\/p>\n

Though the storms still may threaten
\nThough there will be heavy blows
\nThe future looks to heaven
\nWhat e\u2019re we think we know.<\/p>\n

Heavy chains fall from hearts so burdened
\nAnd bright hope lights their way
\nThough few things yet are certain
\nThe morning comes to stay.<\/p>\n

Do not fear the morning
\nThe light will be our guide
\nAnd the future now aborning?
\nWe forge what it provides.<\/p>\n
