I wrote this a while ago, but it never seemed the right time for it. It now seems appropriate for Memorial Day.<\/em><\/p>\n

Day of sorrow, day of pain
\nDay to mourn the lost again.
\nWhile vengeance serves a bitter draught
\nHard won justice is slowly bought.<\/p>\n

The wolf\u2019s head fear the righteous sword
\nAnd the guilty tremble as battle roars.
\nSo will all the guilty fall
\nAs bitter justice comes to call.<\/p>\n

When all the guilty lie in the dust
\nThe soldiers return as they must
\nNo justice can return their dead to life
\nBut living friends help ease the strife.<\/p>\n

Once justice served and battle done
\nMay peace rain down, the battle won.
\nMay every heart be made whole
\nYour land protected forever more.<\/p>\n
