It has been a rough several years. If you hurt you are not broken. There is light and it is not an oncoming train.
Let sorrow sing it’s burden
From a weary wandering soul.
As night pulls back the curtain
On toil’s painful toll.
Let grief have its moment
And no longer hide the pain,
As the soul makes atonement
For things it cannot say again.
Let the burdens travel onward
You, alas, must see them through.
Take the help that’s been offered
It’s all that you can do.
Let the night flow now past you.
Turn your face now to the dawn.
Kith and kin now walk beside you,
And help you carry on.
Though the crowd seems to be thinning
Look about you day by day.
Each day a new beginning,
And other still share your way.
