A bit of comfort for your day
There is nothing to fear in the twilight
In the shadows that lengthen from day.
Let the quiet breezes sooth you
And carry troubles far away.
Let the chill of the evening surround you
Leave aside the coming of dawn
Let the threshold of night enfold you
And your heart take it’s rest beyond.
For the night was made for our comfort
As the day was made for our strife.
Though some may desire to seize it
They cannot bring it to life.
Let your heart take it’s ease when you’re able,
And come give your weary soul rest.
The fire is warm with food on the table,
And home in the evening is blessed.
