Everyone has a hero. Sebastian’s hero just happens to be his biggest brother. And what kid wouldn’t love to have a brother that killed monsters for a living? No monsters under HIS bed! (Yes I have silly characters who give me songs with backstories.)
My brother hunts the monsters underneath my bed.
He makes them so afraid, they will not show their heads.
He hunts them in the wilds each and every day.
And when he comes home, he’s scared them all away.
Sometimes the monsters do things that seem to break his heart.
He sits down in the study, quiet and apart.
I take out my viola, but stay out of his way.
And if he hasn’t seen me, I begin to play.
The songs are very simple, not like father makes,
But Edward doesn’t seem to mind any of my mistakes.
I can see him listen so I always do my best
And like the music helps me, it seems to help him rest.
He has to hunt the monsters in villages and woods
Because they are always doing things that no one should
But Edward hunts them down and brings everybody home.
So I play for him so he is not alone.
