Unicorn Moon

A bit of whimsy for your day.

When the glitter of the evening
Casts its shadow on the moon
And the fae come without deceiving
To bring a gentle boon.

Under stars strewn ‘cross the heavens
In enchanted forest grove
There heavy air now leavens
Before hope’s bright treasure trove.

Hoof beats chime like silver,
As they never do in day,
And ride the moon’s bright river
Leaving hope along their way

Do not watch long at your window
They come only in your sleep
But they will come in the moonlight
Through night and slumber deep.
