Moon Road

Something quietly shining for your day.

The pearly moon has risen
In the dusky sky
And seen are things long hidden
And given wings to fly.

A wish lights in the darkness
And trembling hands hold true
While the hopeful heart now harkens
And wonders what to do.

No sage has any wisdom
For this questing soul
No king in any kingdom
The pathway can extol.

One foot then the other
The journey must begin
With no friend or brother
Nor knowledge of where it ends.

A pearly moon yet watches
The hidden come to light
And peeks through doors and arches
To see all brought aright.

In the creeping darkness
And the dim light of the moon
The truth has found its harness
And a heart has found its boon.

With nothing but a lantern
The seeker journeys on
And weaves a flowing pattern
That binds them to the dawn.

At the journey’s ending
Where the question soul finds rest
Hope and glory blending
Bring joy to every breast.
