Rhythm of the Day

Something I hope makes your day brighter, or at least more restful.

No words required in worlds made new
No songs are mired in what we do.
Shape the stone and gather clay
And stand at dawn to face the day.

Pour out the water to waiting hands.
Breath incense in and raise high the brands.
When silence sings to weary souls
Lift the names to make them whole.

With labor done at end of day
Now send the light on its way.
In restful silence await the moon,
Its radiance soft: A gentle boon.

As weary hearts lay down to sleep
Moon and stars the dreaming keep.
And the silence of dreaming night
The joy flows down in subtle light.
